Hola, quiero presentaros a Julia o como a ella le gustan que la llamen JULS. Lo primero que quiero es darle las GRACIAS por colaborar en esta sección y sobre todo por su paciencia y dedicación.

Julia es la autora del blog UNIVERSITY LIFE STYLE. Ella se esfuerza día a día para que quien la sigue sienta lo que ella misma siente al escribir. Es estudiante de ARQUITECTURA, tiene 20 años y vive en Madrid. Cuando nos contaba cómo comenzó en el mundo de la blogósfera hace casi 3 años nos decía… “empecé el blog cuando entre en la universidad para ver cómo iba cambiando a lo largo de la carrera. Quería reflejar todo aquello que influía en mi día a día, lo que descubría, lo que me gustaba...para ver mis cambios.

Para ella la finalidad de la temática del blog como os decía antes, es transmitir a los demás quien es, ser transparente para quien esta en el otro lado de la pantalla. Por todo ello, también cuenta que dedica bastantes horas a su blog “bastantes :) me gusta mucho” y suele actualizar “desde mi portátil, siempre.” 

Hi, I want to introduce you to Julia or as she likes to be called JULS. The first thing I want is to thank for helping in this section and especially for their patience and dedication.

Julia is the author of the blog UNIVERSITY LIFE STYLE. She strives daily to whoever follows her feel what she feels to write. It is an architecture student, is 20 and lives in Madrid. When we told how the world began in the blogosphere for almost 3 years we said ... "I started the blog when you enter the university to see how he changes throughout the race. I wanted to reflect everything that influenced my day to day, he discovered, what I liked ... to see my changes.

 • ¿Qué consejos puedes dar a los bloggers que comienzan en el mundo del blog?

“Que publiquen y escriban con ganas, que hagan un blog para ellos no para quienes lo leen y que no se dejen influir por el qué dirán. Que sean ellos mismos.”

What advice can you give bloggers who start in the blog world?

"To publish and write with enthusiasm, to make a blog for them not to those who read it and not be swayed by what people say. Let them be themselves.

• Como nos has contado antes, inciaste tu blog para ver como cambiaba tu vida y que cambios se iban produciendo en ti misma, en tu persona al comienzo de los estudios universitarios. ¿qué cambios has podido observar en ti, en tu vida en general?

Creo que he madurado bastante en cuanto a intereses y gustos en moda .Antes me gustaban cosas mas infantiles, veia las cosas de otra manera. Por ejemplo, en primero de carrera siempre llevaba un lazo en la cabeza, consecuencia de Blair Waldorf :), ahora no se me ocurre. Ademas me gusta vestir mas sencilla, poco a poco me voy haciendo fanatica de los básicos y añado detalles especiales según mi estado de animo. Además ahora trato mas temas en el blog, no me centro en moda. Me encanta la fotografia y llevo la cámara a todas partes. Sobretodo me interesa fotografiar arquitectura.

I think I've matured enough in interests and tastes in fashion. Before things I liked more children, saw things differently. Also I like to dress more simply, little by little I'm doing basic fanatic and add special touches in my mood. Besides, more subjects treated in the blog, I focus on fashion. I love photography and I take the camera everywhere. Above all I want to photograph architecture.

 

 • Por ejemplo, para mi este es el primer año de universidad, pero como yo seguro que habrá alguna lectora mas ¿que consejos nos podrias dar? ¿que es para ti el mundo universitario?

Para mi la universidad es precisamente eso, los años en los que cambias y maduras, en los que vas haciendo la mejor version de ti misma. Poco a poco lo ves todo con otros ojos, decubres cosas que antes no te planteabas y tratas de encajar en un ambiente mas amplio. Ya no gira todo en torno a tus compañeros de clase, ahora tienes que demostrar quien eres y como te vales por ti mismo. Es una época en la que hay que estar con los sentidos al 100% e intentar aprender todo lo que puedas no solo de estudios, sino de la vida tambien.

For example, for me this is the first year of college, but as I am sure there will be some readers what advice could you give us? What is the university for you?

For me, college is just that, years in which you change and mature, where you make the best version of yourself. Little by little you see everything with new eyes, admire some things that used to raise and address do not fit into the wider environment. It does not turn everything around in your class, you now have to prove who you are and how you vouchers for yourself. It is a time when we must be with the way to 100% and try to learn all you can not just studies, but also life.

 

 • Hay una lugar en tu casa al que tienes mucho cariño, que es tu terraza ¿que significa para ti ese lugar, es un lugar solo para ti?

Es el sitio oficial de reuniones con mis amigos :) siempre vienen a cenar, a estudiar... a veces incluso hemos estado toda la noche fuera haciendo un trabajo. La verdad es que me encanta, siempre digo que es "mi pequeño jardín urbano".

There is a place in your house you have plenty of love that is your deck does that mean for you there, is a lonely place for you?

Is the official site of meetings with my friends:) always come to dine, study ... sometimes we've been out all night doing work. The truth is that I love, I always say is "my small urban garden."

 • Tu familia siempre la tienes presente... en numerosos post hemos podido ver a tu hermana, tu prima creo recordar es una gran blogger al igual que tu... También tus amigos están ahi ya que siempre en las mejores fiestas apareces con ell@s como por ejemplo en tu ultima fiesta en la terraza! Antes nos has contado que de momento el blog esta al margen excepto para lo mas cercano... para ti.. ¿que te trasmite tener todo esto a tu alrededor? imagino que algo maravilloso.Soy consciente siempre de la suerte que tengo. Puedo decir con total seguridad que tengo unos amigos increíbles, una familia que me quiere muchísimo y una prima que es como mi mejor amiga. La terraza no será grande, pero si tengo que apretarles a todos lo hago :) me gusta tenerlos cerca y como forman parte de mi día a día ¿como no iban a aparecer en el blog?

 Your family will always have this ... in many post we could see your sister, your cousin I remember is a great blogger like you ... • Respecto a los eventos organizados desde la blogoesfera, ¿que opinion teneis? ¿soleis frecuentarlos? ¿os enterais mediante invitaciones o de otras maneras?

“Me lo paso genial y he conocido a gente maravillosa. Con algunos incluso he hecho amistad. Me parece una manera muy buena para conocer gente con tus mismos intereses, para aprender cosas a cerca de este mundo, para estar en contacto con la actualidad... creo que los eventos son importantes y por eso trato de asistir siempre que es posible. Me entero como puedo, a veces mandan invitación, otras llaman o me avisan... depende mucho.”

 Regarding the events organized from the blogosphere, what do you have? ¿Do you usually frequent? Do you enterais by invitation or in other ways?

 "What a blast and I've met wonderful people. Some have even become friends. I think a great way to meet people with similar interests to learn things about this world to be in contact with today ... I think the events are important and I try to attend whenever possible. I learn as I can sometimes send the invitation, others call or let me know ... depends on a lot

 

• Te hemos visto en numerosos eventos, el ultimo importante como por ejemplo la CMFW ; tambien sabemos que colaboras con otras website... ¿como consideras ese "trabajo"? Supongo que a todo el mundo le gusta que cuenten consigo misma pero, ¿lo buscas, te informas o simplemente te llega y dices si?

Depende. Por ejemplo, a eventos abiertos como la VFNO voy directamente si me gusta. Otras veces me avisa algún amigo, me pide que le acompañe y otras contactan conmigo y me proponen asistir a eventos. De todas formas siempre hago el blog pensando en lo que me gusta y quiero transmitir. No digo que si a todo, y si hablo de algún evento, marca o producto es siempre a conciencia y contando mi experiencia.

 I've seen in many events, the last major such as CMFW; also know that you collaborate with other website ... How do you rate this "work"? I guess everyone likes to have with itself but what you seek, or you simply informs you come and say yes?

It depends. For example, open events such as VFNO go straight if I like. Sometimes a friend tells me, asks me to accompany him and other contact me and I intend to attend events. Anyway, the blog I always thinking about what I like and want to convey. I'm not saying yes to everything, and if I talk about some event, brand or product awareness and is always telling my experience.

 

• Hubo una historia maravillosa en una de tus entradas... donde contabas que estabas comenzando a ahorrar con una amiga para viaje por EEUU ¿que es para ti el sueño americano? ¿de alguna forma crees que estas creando tu sueño americano aunque sea en Madrid? ¿porque tienes devoción por los libros americanos... sus series... el café... el té...?

Totalmente. Estoy creando mi sueño. Para mi el sueño americano es tener una vida de la que estar orgullosa y en la que tengas la sensación de que los buenos momentos triplican a los malos. Ademas la completo con pequeños placeres como los que tu dices: el te, el café, series, libros, viajes, fiestas... No se si sera eso un sueño americano, pero desde luego en Madrid lo tengo y lo disfruto.

There was a wonderful story in one of your entries ... which said they were starting to save with a friend for U.S. trip is for you what the American dream? Somehow did you think you're creating your American dream even in Madrid? Why have devotion to American books ... their series ... the coffee ... tea ...?

Absolutely. I am creating my dream. To me the American dream is to have a life to be proud and where you have the feeling that the good times to bad triple. Besides the complete small pleasures as you say: tea, coffee, series, books, trips, parties ... So maybe it's an American dream, but of course in Madrid I have it and enjoy it.

• Sin duda una de tus principales caracteristicas es la elegancia ¿Piensas que es posible combinar la sencillez con la elegancia?

Gracias por lo de la elegancia :) es un halago. Creo que sencillez y elegancia encajan perfectamente en la misma frase. Si vas sencilla pero vestida para la ocasión aciertas seguro y muy probablemente seas elegante. Hace poco encontré una frase que me encantó y que he grabado en la contraportada de mi agenda "Solo las mentes privilegiadas se pueden permitir un estilo sencillo". Es perfecta. A pesar de lo que muchos piensen la sencillez no es menos, puede  llegar a ser mucho más. Al menos esa es mi opinión, soy de las de Less is more.

Undoubtedly one of your main characteristics is the elegance Do you think you can combine simplicity with elegance?

Thanks for the elegance:) is a compliment. I believe that simplicity and elegance fit perfectly in the same sentence. If you simple but dressed for the occasion most likely hit it safe and be smart. I recently came across a phrase that I loved and I've recorded on the back of my agenda "Only great minds can afford a simple style." It's perfect. Despite what many think simplicity is no less, can be much more. At least that's my opinion, I am of the Less is more

• Cuáles son tus basicos? quiero decir, que productos no pueden faltar en tu dia a dia...

Primero un cafe para despertarme (no puedo vivir sin él). Uso todos los dias eyeliner marron en los ojos y rimmel, siempre rimmel. Algún complemento, aunque sea solo uno, collar, pulsera, anillo...brillo de labios, cacao o algo así en el bolso. Gafas de sol y unas gotas de "Escale a Portofino"

¿que no puede faltar en tu armario/vestidor?

Mucho sitio, perchas para colgarlo todo y baldas para colocar los zapatos! :P Es broma. Supongo unos pantalones blancos, unos negros y unos vaqueros. Unos botines de print de leopardo. Unas bailarinas negras (en realidad todo tipo de zapatos, unas sandalias beige, unos salones negros y otros azules, unas cuñas para verano, botines camel, botas negras de caña alta y unas deportivas para ir al gimnadio). Una gabardina cantosa. Un bolso grande. Una camisa blanca y otra azul fuerte

What are your basics? I mean that products can not miss in your day to day ...

First a coffee to wake me up (I can not live without it). Use brown eyeliner every day in the eyes and eyeliner, mascara ever. Some complement, if only a necklace, bracelet, ring ... lip gloss, cocoa or something in the bag. Sunglasses and a few drops of "Escale a Portofino"

What can not miss in your closet / dressing?

Much room, hanging racks and shelves to put all the shoes! : P Just kidding. I guess white pants, a black and jeans. A leopard-print boots. A black dancers (actually all kinds of shoes, sandals beige, one black and some blue rooms, wedges for summer, camel boots, black boots and sneakers high cane to go to gimnadio). Cantosa a raincoat. A large bag. A white shirt and a bright blue

• Uno de los complemento por los que te pierdes creo que son los zapatos a los SNY como Carrie ¿porque este complemento y no otro?

La verdad es que nunca he sido muy aficionada a los zapatos con algo de punta. Esto fue un flechazo. Los vi, y sin quererlo me imagine a Carrie Bradshaw "contoneándose por la 5ª av". Me los probé, sin intención de comprarlos, y al final...se han convertido en unos de mis favoritos.

One of the add-on which I think you miss the shoes are like Carrie SNY why this add-on and not another?

The truth is I've never been very fond of the shoes with a little tip. This was a sight. I saw them, and without wanting me to imagine Carrie Bradshaw "waddling along 5th av". I tried them with no intention of buying them, and finally ... have become one of my favorites.

• En muchas ocasiones vemos como juntas tus grandes aficiones... la fotografia y la arquitectura... en los que tu llamas INSPIRACIÓN ¿por que esto te inspira para ser feliz? ¿que mas hace que no dejes de sonreir?

No lo se...la fotografía me apasiona, captar lo que me gusta y poder verlo cuando quiera. La arquitectura forma parte de mi día a día...es lo que estudio, y pensé que lo elegí por tradición familiar, pero estoy descubriendo que realmente me gusta. Aprecio mucho el espacio. Me encuentro a gusto en sitios amplios, bien decorados, con encanto... no soy capaz de ignorar el sitio en el que estoy. Lo hago sin darme cuenta, me fijo en los detalles. ¿Otra cosa que me hace sonreír? la moda, sin duda, aunque no quiera, siempre la tengo presente. Si me veo bien estoy todo el día contenta. Conducir me apasiona. Cenar fuera de casa. Despertarme con la luz un domingo por la mañana…

On many occasions we see as your biggest hobbies together ... photography and architecture ... where you call INSPIRATION why this inspires you to be happy? What else does not stop smiling?

Do not know ... I love photography, to capture what I like and view it whenever you want. The architecture is part of my day to day ... is what I study, I thought I chose family tradition, but I'm finding that I really like. I appreciate the space. I find sites like large, well decorated, charming ... I can not ignore the place where I am. I do it without realizing it, I look at the details. Another thing that makes me smile? fashion, no doubt, but does not want, I have always present. If I look good all day I'm happy. I love driving. Dining out. Waking with the light on a Sunday morning ...

• Por ultimo, creo que es de gran interés como has ido creando lo que ahora se llama "your personal branding" tu marca personal en este caso, mediante el blog. ¿ seguirás trabajando y esforzándote por esto, o simplemente seguirá siendo una herramienta para ver como evolucionas?

La verdad es que no estoy muy concienciada de lo de "your personal branding". Si que trato de hacer un blog muy personal pero no estoy muy segura de saber llevar a cabo eso. Aunque no lo descarto.

Finally, I think it is of great interest as you have been creating what is now called "your personal branding" your personal brand in this case, through the blog. Will you keep working and striving for it, or simply continue to be a tool to see how it evolves?

The truth is that I'm not aware of what the "your personal branding." If I try to make a very personal blog but I'm not sure I know perform it. Although not rule it out.

• Tienes una visión de ti misma o de lo que quieres llegar a ser de aqui a unos años?

Pues precisamente los temas que trato en el blog es a lo que quiero llegar en la vida. Quiero ser alguien que dedique su día a día a la fotografía, el diseño y la arquitectura, eso si, subida a unos maravillosos tacones o llevando un bolso de los que hacen saltar las lágrimas :)

 You have a vision of yourself or what you want to be in a few years?

For precisely the issues I discuss in the blog is what I get in life. I want to be someone who dedicates his day to day photography, design and architecture, that if some wonderful climb heels or carrying a bag which blows the tears:)
